Dr. Thomas grew up in Cocoa, Florida, a rural community which exposed her to wildlife in her own back yard. She spent much of her childhood trying to save animals ranging from rabbits to reptiles.
Dr. Thomas completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Florida, and earned her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences. She spent time working at the University of Florida in research, and volunteered with a nearby horse retirement farm and local humane societies.
Dr. Thomas is a valued member of the Midway Animal Hospital Team. Her professional interests include internal medicine, dermatology, and radiology. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and Florida Veterinary Medical Association.
When she is not working hard, Dr. Thomas enjoys camping, traveling, nature walks, watching movies or hanging out with her friends and family, she is also a talented artist who enjoys painting. She is a pet parent to a Blue Fronted Amazon Parrot named Angel and a Yellow-Bellied Slider Turtle named Jypsy.
